EKCO Radiocorder

EKCO Radiocorder

I believe the recordings were produced using the EKCO Radiocorder. This ingenious device attached to a "Radiogram" and transcribed an amplified modulated electrical signal onto aluminium disc, either from a tuner or a microphone.

With advice from the British Sound Library, I have digitised my grandad's recordings for presentation on this site. Broadcasts include royal speeches, talks, news broadcasts and music performances, all original and many unique.
